Thank you for the 2022-2023 sports season – read what kind of feedback was given to Zone

Kiitos liikuntakaudesta 2022-2023

Zone’s sport services will be on summer break starting from Thursday, June 22, when the Myllypuro and Myyrmäki campuses’ sports shifts will also end. We hope you have been able to enjoy our services during the last semester!

Self-directed sport shifts (gym, badminton and sport hall shifts) will continue after the summer break during August. We will update the exact starting times on our website as soon as we receive them. Zone’s fall season officially starts on Monday, September 4, 2023, when also the weekly instructed group classes start on the campuses.

WE ASKED FOR FEEDBACK ABOUT ZONE’S SERVICES AT THE END OF THE SPRING SEASON – READ WHAT ZONE’S USERS THINK

During spring season, we organized instructed group classes on four campuses and online for a total of 26 hours a week. Gyms were available on five campuses, and ball sport options at three sports venues. There were also 30 different courses and sport trials in the selection.

Thank you to everyone who answered our feedback survey – using the feedback, we have been able to plan our services for the coming fall season. In the feedback survey, those who used Zone’s services gave an overall rating of 3.9 (on a scale of 1-5).

We received a lot of open feedback. Many respondents felt that Zone’s service was good value for money, and the low-threshold sports services offered on campuses are valued and needed. Especially Zone’s instructed group classes and the instructors received a lot of praise, as did the fact that there are options for guided online classes too. According to many, the group class calendar has been versatile, offering something for everyone.

Developmental feedback was given especially about the gyms, where size and equipment are wished to be improved. In addition, the feedback brought up a problem that occurred especially in the spring season, when there were too many users on the gym shifts compared to the capacity of the shifts. We continue discussions with universities about the challenges and the wishes that came out in the feedback survey, and we are trying to improve the situation on our part.

S Group gift cards were drawn among those who responded to the feedback survey, and the winners have been contacted personally.

A few open feedback:

“Very nice service and in addition to everything else good, affordable! Some of the gyms are quite small, but I myself have found a nice form of exercise through Zone. I fell in love with badminton :)”

“It’s great that there are so many opportunities to move in an instructed manner, and to reserve a sport hall for playing the sport of your choice!”

“It’s very nice that there are sport trials in a course format! A good incentive to try a new sport and at a cheaper price.”

Thank you for the past season and welcome to the services again in the fall season!

Summer greetings,

Zone’s Sport Planners Linda & Tuulia
