New student, this is how you use Zone sports services

Dear New Student, welcome to use Zone sports services!

Our sports services are located right next to your daily life as a student as we organize sports activities in seven campuses of the Capital Region: Arabia (Arcada), Malmi and Pasila (Haaga-Helia), Otaniemi ja Tikkurila (Laurea) as well as Myllypuro ja Myyrmäki (Metropolia).

Zone is therefore the best solution for you who wants to exercise around the Capital Region in a most versatile way.

So how do you get to use Zone Sports Services?

For students of Haaga-Helia, Laurea, Metropolia and Arcada the cheapest option is to buy a membership of their own student union, as the Zone Sports Pass is included within the membership. The students of Humak and Diak can purchase the sports pass as an additional service, as it is not automatically included in their student union membership.

NB: On top of purchasing a membership of your student union, you have to activate the sports pass at one of the student service points located in the campuses. Zone Sports Passes and gym passes are also sold separately, without the student union membership.

What do the sports services include and when does the season start?

During the spring season, we provide instructed classes, ball sports as well as different kind of sports courses. Click here to check out our weekly schedule.

Our instructed classes vary from light exercise focused on body maintenance and well-being to high intensity training. The Class Schedule is built around four categories, which are Body&Mind, Beat, Strength and Dance&Rhythm.

You get to play ball sports by making a reservation to our badminton courts and sports halls, or by signing yourself up to one of our ball sports sessions. In addition, you will get to compete against other students in badminton, futsal and floorball leagues (REGISTRATION HAS ENDED).

At our sports cources, you will get to practice your skills in different sports under the guidance of qualified coaches. For Spring 2020, Zone organizes courses for volleyball, badminton, floorball and Pilates (REGISTRATION HAS ENDED). All courses can be purchased on Kide.app.
